We are in the southern part of the Côte Chalonnaise, know fort he white wines.
At the age of 33, Stéphane already appears to be an old hand in the profession with 15 years worth of experience and experiments! Both apply to this atypical, innovating winegrower.
His success is built on this hectare of vines inherited from his grandfather. He rents another three hectares from a producer who was due to retire.
That’s all it took Stéphane Aladame to decide to stay, put and make his own wine, wholly from old vines, redolent with the distinctive of the terroir.
You have to let nature have its way, says Stéphane. He has just plunged 300 bottles of Montagny 1er Cru 20 metres beneath the sea near Saint Malo to measure the effects of tidal movement on changes to the wine.
Always looking forward for new things to improve his wines, wines to be enjoyed for their fruitiness and liveliness!
